Dr. Thomas Boyd and Dr. Christine Gonos-Boyd received
their bachelor degrees in Biology from Gannon
University and their
doctoral degrees from Palmer College
of Chiropractic in Davenport,
Iowa.
Dr. Tom and Dr. Chris interned for two and
a half years with Dr. M.R. Mally, a prolific sports and occupational
injury chiropractor. They assisted Dr. Mally at sports-injury seminars,
the Advanced Clinical Orthopedic Symposium, and the International
Conference on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Cumulative Trauma Disorders.
Dr. Tom and Dr. Chris stay abreast of the latest health care research,
methods, and developments through ongoing post-graduate studies.
Dr. Tom and Dr. Chris have served many local
athletes. In
2000, they were Team Chiropractors for the Erie Invaders Indoor
Football Team. They
also served as the team consultants for the Greensboro Prowlers
of the Arena Football League II in Greensboro, NC.
Presently, they are the Team Chiropractors
for the Erie Otters Hockey
Team of the Ontario Hockey League and the Erie
River Rats of the American Indoor Football Association. Dr. Tom
Boyd also serves as the Director of Medical Services for the American
Indoor Football Association. In addition, we are the on site chiropractors
at Independence Court.
Dr.
Tom Boyd spends time serving as the assistant wrestling coach at
Gannon University, and is the co-promoter of the "War
At the Shore"
tri-dual featuring Div I, II, and High school wrestlers.
Dr. Tom and Dr. Chris have three children and live in Millcreek.
They are committed to providing natural, professional healthcare
in the Erie region.
