Chiropractic therapies are used in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments or as stand alone treatments. These methods include therapeutic stretches, therapeutic exercise, ultrasound, ice, heat, and electro-muscle stimulation.
Stretching
Following an injury, therapeutic stretching is an important way to prevent scar tissue from forming.

Exercise
We commonly prescribe specific strengthening exercises for patients with back, neck, and extremity problems.
Excercise
We commonly prescribe specific strengthening exercises for patients with back, neck, and extremity problems.
Ultrasound
Therapeutic ultrasound is a form of deep heat therapy created by sound waves. When applied to soft tissues and joints, the sound waves are a form of micro-massage that help reduce swelling, decrease pain, stiffness, and spasms, and increase blood flow.
Therapeutic Stretches
Following an injury, therapeutic stretching is an important way to prevent scar tissue from forming. Even after the injury has healed, maintaining a regular stretching program helps keep tissues flexible, increases mobility, and protects you from new injuries. We make sure you understand the proper stretching technique and will help you until you are comfortable enough to do them on your own.
Therapeutic Exercise
We commonly prescribe specific strengthening exercises for patients with back, neck, and extremity problems. These exercises can decrease pain, prevent muscle deterioration, promote joint health, increase strength, stability and range of motion, and protect against new or recurring injuries.
We will demonstrate and supervise your personalized exercise routine until you are proficient and comfortable doing the exercises on your own at home.

Ice
Ice therapy is often used to reduce swelling and help control pain immediately after an injury or flare-up of a chronic condition. Ice reduces the temperature of the tissues and helps to numb painful areas, constrict blood vessels, and helps relax muscle spasms. Depending on the patient's condition, a combination of ice and heat can be used.
Heat
Heat therapy is used to relax the muscles and increase circulation and can provide relief to patients with chronic pain. Heat therapy helps to speed the healing process and is often combined with ice therapy for acute injuries.
Electro-Muscle Stimulation
Electro-Muscle Stimulation therapy uses light electrical pulses transmitted to specific area of the body through electrodes placed on the skin. This type of therapy is used for pain relief or to reduce inflammation. It can also be used to control muscle spasms or even cause muscles to contract in order to reduce muscle atrophy.
